Myself and our faculty at TLC offer training in the art of spiritual direction and Christian Spiritual formation through a two-year certificate program as well as a portfolio of retreat opportunities through which you'll learn to listen to God, self and others.

Retreats

 

Starting in May through September LifePlace Counseling Center’s Spiritual Director hosts a one day retreat each month on a Saturday, to refresh, restore and help you rediscover your life. It is an offsite gathering in Libertyville for 10-15 women at a time. If you are interested in attending our next

If you identify with any of these longings and questions, you are invited to an intimate retreat, which will help guide your attention back to the Source of your devotion. At the heart of the retreat is a focus on the value of a Personal Compass to navigate your life with God and reawaken to His loving invitations in your life. It is a gentle time of letting yourself be attended to, to give yourself permission to rest and to not produce anything. Will you allow yourself to be refreshed by the God who sees you, knows, and loves you?

Listening Groups

 

 LifePlace Counseling Center’s Spiritual Director will host Listening groups for those interested in exploring ways to find God in their everyday life. Group sessions will go for 6 weeks offered twice on Tuesday’s at 10am and 6:30pm. The hope is for group members to learn deep listening skills and experience the goodness of soul talk.
